So yeah, I hate how far I get sometimes only to see something on Facebook that sets me back. How can you have a beer party without me? I hate it when people move on when I don't want them to.
Anyway, I'm actually pretty happy with how the X-E Advent Calendar has gotten back to its roots this year. Not that the previous craziness wasn't epic and all, but I really liked the structure of having the central 3 main characters, plus Mistah Snowman, since he was in the original, and Waiterbot, who cracks me up, pitted against the evil Mare clones. Plus it actually focuses around how nutty the and inane the gifts actually are in the Playmobil calendars. I think what I like best about it is that it actually updates daily rather than the last couple of years when the thing would go ignored for weeks at a time.
Narnia was good, but didn't live up to how much I loved the book version (which I remember having much less overt references to its own allegory). Ben Barnes makes a sexy seaman. ;D Meghan was all about the ponytail usage, and Jaime picked up on the homo subtext. Good times.
My apartment is filthy, but fuck that. My time is going to be invested in one of three things: Pokemon Black, Nuzlocke-ing Leaf Green, or Banjo-Tooie. Possibly Photoshop if I feel like it.
It really doesn't feel like I'll be back in Japan in a week. Like some sort of wonderful dream...I only would like if people seemed a little more enthused for it.
