For those of you who dont know it yet, the state of California by 3% majority voted against same-sex marriages... You can agree or disagree, that's YOUR right! but what about the rights of the hundreds of thousands if not millions of people affected by this; not just those who are and want to be married, but the children they wanted to adopt, to ( Read more... )

Irregardless what one's sexual orientation is, I think it is wrong to stop couples from realizing their commitment and legalize their bond.

People open your eyes! There are far more important issues to tackle than worry about your neighbor's sexual orientation and like by banning them from marrying will make us a better person, a better country, have higher moral standard or something. Same sex couples, I find to be having high morals as well...wanting to commit to a relationship that our short sighted society sees as taboo...damn it people get over it! Love goes beyond the physical make of the person, who are we to say no to same sex relationship, when hetero-ones are having problems committing to one, run away from parenting responsibilities and aid in increasing the number of single parents, children without parents, left for adoption...and here are same sex couples, willing to be parents, to provide a home, the love for children who are in dire need of a home and a family.

Damn morals, what are you people afraid of? That same sex couples could actually be better parents and become successful couples? This is not a contest between homos and heteros...it's extending the ideals of equality, to acknowledge what is right and should be allowed to be shared. Marriage should not be limited to hetero couples only.

i agree so much with you lol well i guess that's obvious but yes i think that using the 'children' as an argument is just wrong.. i mean, if the hetero couple doesnt want or cant afford to have kids and does anyway, why cant a homo couple who cant have kids but wants them so badly but able to raise those kids in a safe and functional home.. imagine how they are now, trying to figure out who legally has the right to parent a child they adopted years ago because the state they live in says they are no longer married.. its not fair.. they're just people, who are in love, who can provide the same love to a child that wants it as a hetero couple can *sigh* its depressing to think that it may take them electing a Homosexual President to realise that yes they are people too
