Well, my work finally figured out that LJ was a personal journaling site, and is now blocking it. So much for my lunch hours. I guess I'll have to find something else to do - maybe I'll take up crochet?

Back to crocheting again this weekend, and it sure is satisfying. I am working on a new stitch/pattern which will make the back of Liz's pillow beautiful and less boring than plain stitches. It takes a little longer and there are more "don't distract me Tim, I'm counting" times, but I think it will be worth it in the end ( Read more... )

I have finished my current batch of crochet dolls, and I'm making a pillow for Liz before I start the next ones. I hope to have the ones currently on my list done in time for ECT.

Because I could. I took the basic body and head pieces from the book that friggasgirl got for me. Then I crocheted the cloak, hat, hair, beard and eyepatch by winging it. The eye and staff are sculpey. I think he turned out cute.

I am the worst procrastinator of all time.

I have a challenge ahead of me.

There are 94 rows of 212 stitches. Liz is moving to the dorms on August 27.
All I have to do is 4 rows every day until then. It is possible. Right now I am only 46 stitches behind schedule.
