Lets go back a bit. 10 days to be exact.
I phone Caterforce - the guys who got me catering at Royal Ascot - to see if I could do Silverstone. Apparently they're all full, so I give up and wait for Jury duty to start. 10 minutes later, they phone back, asking if I can do Henley Regatta (Read posh people's boat festival, or something...) Once I found I'd be back in time for Jury-ness, I agreed.
Within days I found myself near London, sleeping in accomodation that was very similar to Eastwood rooms in Bath. And during the day I get to wash pots. For 3 days, that was pretty much all I did - sometimes, I got to mix it up with dishes too, but pots mainly. Well, other than being immensly tiring, and shredding my hands on sharp things over the week, twasn't so bad.
I did brush up on my scouse while there. And apparently you must say "fuckin'" before every verb and every noun in order to be scouse. I just have an image of the scousers who have figured out the fucking is, itself, a verb, and just stand there constantly swearing.
Anyway, I got back from Henley around 3ish Monday morning, and had to be in Liverpool at around half 9ish for Jury duties on the same day. So... about 3 hours sleep? And so far, jury duty has been waiting duty - I just spent 2 days sitting in the waiting room. Not that I'm complaining - they're feeding me, and eventually they'll be paying for the travel too. Just wish that the last person on trail every day would stop being someone pleading guilty - waiting for an hour to find you haven't been picked, fine. Waiting for an hour to find there hasn't been a picking - not so fine...
And finally, the latest news - I was absolutely on the money about how well I'd do in my exams - I failed. I've sent an e-mail off to course supervisor to see if'n I can change course to something with biology in it (just to make sure, I think I'm making it biology. If theres no biology in that, then there'll be killin'.....) And for all my housemates who read this - I've signed the contract, so I'm still living there. And you can't stop me!
Also, I have had a craving to play chess for the past...year or so. I really hope someone in my house this next year has a set. James might......
So...10 days = more text than several months. This makes perfect sense!
Jimmy out! (Of mind...)
