The peoples voices are unheard on a daily basis. This is not the first decision made regardless of what the people want. Voting has proven time and time again that it is a formality to hope that the people vote the way they want then if they don't like what the people say they do what they want to anyway. This isn't the first and it won't be the last.
I would have more respect for the fight if the position were to stop going against the will of the people. But that's not the fight they're fighting. I live in South Orange County. I'm knee deep in Republicans. I live across the street from Saddleback Church. I see the people standing in the streets with signs. I hear the hate. These people aren't fighting for their vote to be counted, they're fighting for their right to control others rights.
If the tables were turned, I would fully expect the gay community to fight back. As well they should. I'm not saying the opposition should not fight. I disagree with the tactics.
Even though I disagree with the ability to overturn the decisions of the people, I believe that everyone should have equal rights and I'm not willing to persecute a group of people to prove a point.
