let's see
well, there's not too much to do right now, i'm just taking a break from drawing. i need inspiration, i'm just staring at some paper. anyways, i saw batman last night. for the full details, read my myspace ( www.myspace.com/jimboj917 ). i think i can say that it's by far the best batman movie made for several reasons, such as the fact that it's more about bruce wayne than his alter ego. and at the end of the movie, katie holmes says something along the lines of what "bill" said in kill bill 2, where batman is bruce wayne's true self, while "bruce wayne," the wealthy family-heir is the facade. i think that was the best line in the movie, although she didn't say it like that. go see it and you'll know what i'm talking about.

my band played a show at the pit last saturday. i think it was the hottest i've ever been in my life. there's pics on myspace if you want to see how sweaty i got, which i'm sure you don't want to see. anyways, we weren't supposed to play the show since dan's other band played a show where 3 mics got stolen. the day before the show, we got permission to play and ended up drawing about 40 people to the door, the most of all the bands. so i guess we redeemed ourselves in the end. we played an extra long set because we felt like we could get away with it, and nearly all died of heat exhaustion in the end. we couldn't even hear ourselves either. but all in all, it went well. jeff h.'s band played too, but i guess he was pissed about everything. he didn't believe me when i said "it's hot up there" and "the monitors don't work" and "you can't hear the vocals." like i would lie about that kind of stuff. and it was their cd release show and they only sold 3 cd's. i feel bad because me and shane accounted for 2 of those sales.
anyways, we've got a TOUR, yes, a tour, partially booked for August 1st through 13th. i'm so excited yet scared to death. we'll need something decent recorded, merch, money, and all of that together by then. our friends in this i cherish from amherst are sharing the tour van with us (15 passenger with a trailer in the back) and we'll share some equipment. i'm just nervous. where will we sleep? what if we don't get paid? will i shower? will my hair look even more shitty? will i have to use public restrooms everyday? these things scare me. i'm also really excited, even if the whole thing ends up sucking, i'll get to visit 14 different cities with my friends. so far we've got shows in kentucky, ohio, florida, louisiana (with solid state records' as cities burn) and a few others. we're very excited.
so yea, that's about it really, i'll talk to you all later.
