tonight was the motion city soundtrack show!! i made sure i got my ticket nice and early so i didn't drive all the way down and figure out it was sold out (like last time they were here). i went with chris and kelly, and dan decided to go to the atreyu/norma jean/unearth show, which was going on at the same time. the first band, scatter the ashes, wasn't too bad...but they just had something missing. from first to last was next, and seeing that i think they're just another screamo band, i didn't care too much. they did rock out tho, very entertaining. to top it off, the singer of atreyu came onstage and rapped with them. it was pretty nuts, the band was nuts on stage. the one guitar player was sitting on another guy's shoulders and things were being knocked over. although the band isn't my favorite, they all have very cool hair and great presence. motion city soundtrack was next. this is the third time i've seen them and i was excited. i met this cool girl who never head of them and i was all talking them up. she was cool, we endured all the crazy people around us and took lots of kicks to the head from crowd surfers. i pretty much made friends with all the people around me at the show, so it was coool. anyways, mcs rocked out as usual. afterwards, i got the justin pierre's autograph, which makes me feel like a 14 year old girl. but he was a cool guy. they played pretty much their whole cd and i asked how long they played. he responded with his fingers. rad. matchbook romance played next which means i left. i've seen that band 3 times as well but no longer have an interest in them. i liked their old cd a lot, but the new stuff just isn't as strong. none of you care about this. so, my band's first show is april 3rd at peabody's, in case u forgot. bye!
