Chapitre 8
At the dressing room..
Early in the morning, Mitsuki and Ryosuke are already arguing about Mitsuki’s decision. Ryosuke won’t allow her but she still don’t budge. It seems that her mind is already decided.
“You can’t do anything about my decision, Ryo. Just accept it.” Mitsuki pouted and went towards the foor but before she could open it, Ryosuke pulled her waist and hugged her.
“Please…” he whispered repeatedly.
“Gomen na.. but - “
“Shh.. Mitsu, I want you to be with me in this drama. What everyone will think about you, won’t really matter. The most important thing is we’re together right?”
“We’re really together, but it doesn’t feel like that. Our worlds are very different. I don’t fit in yours.” Her voice trembled.
“You belong in this world now.. with ME.” He tightened his hug but Mitsuki tried to pull back.
“MITSUUUUUUUKI!!!” the director called up. They both looked each other seriously like it will be their last meeting.
“Okay then. If I can’t change your mind.. I’ll quit first before you do.” He sighed and ran outside. Mitsuki followed him to stop him but it’s too late. He’s already bowing to the director and saying he wanted to quit.
“WHAAAAAAAAT?!” the director exclaimed. “Don’t be ridiculous, Yamada-kun! You know how important this drama. You just can’t quit whenever you wanted. You’re the only person who could play the role perfectly so don’t you dare to back out. Go to your dressing room now and practice your lines. We’ll start first - -“
“Sumimasen. But I really wanted to quit.” He didn’t move for a second and he continued on bowing.
“Is he serious? He can’t possibly quit his job just for me. What if the other directors will hear about this and they won’t offer him any dramas anymore?! This can’t be! His fans might kill me. What should I do?” Mitsuki panicked as she tried to think of a solution.
The director is still insisting Ryosuke not to quit. He wanted to know why he suddenly thought of leaving. But Ryosuke can’t say that it’s because Mitsuki is also quitting. It might get her into trouble, he thought.
She grabbed Ryosuke away from the director and they went back inside the dressing room. She pushed him into the chair and gave him a horrible look. He looked away and pretends that he was thinking of something. How she looked at him scares him.
“You don’t need to quit, mister.” She said fiercely.
“Now, you’re the one saying that? haha!” he chuckled.
“What’s funny?” she glared.
He kept quiet for a moment because he’s starting to feel that Mitsuki might explode anytime. A complete silence abruptly surrounds them. Ryosuke wanted to tell her that he’s ready to give up his job for her but he think that she’ll even get angry with him. Mitsuki covered her face with her both hands and heave a sigh.
“Hey.” He tried not to sound too worried. “Maybe you’re not really good at this but I’m sure you’ll get used to this. I won’t leave you.. zutto soba ni iru kara.”
“Tell me, why do you want me to stay?” she removed her hands and now looked at him seriously.
“Ano.. because this dramas is meant for us. Don’t you think it’s destiny?” he grinned. “Because.. I want to be with you always.”
“Not a valid reason. Do you think you could change my mind with that motive?!” she smiled back.
“Is that so? So then, it’s because of the kissing scenes. When you told me that you’re quitting, that’s the first thing that came into my mind.”
“eh?! Kissing scene?!”
He nodded childishly. “It really bugs me so much because if they’ll replace with a new one then, it will be really disgusting to kiss someone else. At least, we already kissed several times ne.”
“WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!” she turned very red.
“You’re like a tomato! Haha!! Even though I hate tomatoes, maybe I would start loving them if they were you!”
“Urusai! You’re not even funny at all.” She blushed.
“It’s been 3 years since our last kiss. Perhaps it’s time to practice our kissing scene ne?” he moved his eyebrows up and down like he usually do and went forward to kiss her.
Unexpectedly, the door was wide opened by a girl. She was shocked to see the scene in front of her eyes: Ryosuke going to kiss Mitsuki. Who could this girl be?
