First, I have come to the conclusion that interaction with melatonin really impacts the vividness and the strangeness of my dreams. In this case I had taken an Excedrin PM just before bedtime, after taking my scheduled melatonin earlier. Anyhow, on to the dream :
I was called at home and told there was a crisis situation at the airport. I immediately got into my combat / stealth gear and got on my motorcycle sporting this overblown rifle with silencer, massive strange night-vision / infrared scope and got to the airport. I was allowed through line after line of security with little more than a nod, and occasionally a greeting by my name. After being briefed on the situation I went through some sort of access tunnel that got me right underneath a jet on the tarmac. As I scanned the jet with my high-tech rifle, all the while listening to audio from inside the jet, I saw a man I recognized from the terror list stand up and pull out a cellphone... so I fired a shot directly through the body of the jet, splattering his head. Then I yelled "Swarm ! Swarm ! Swarm !" to the tactical team. Immediately after that I walked over to a security building, where I entered through a door that scanned my badge as I walked up, went through several stairs and elevators similar to a scene from "Get Smart", and finally ended up in a debriefing room where everyone knew me and was congratulating me. My debriefing essentially consisted of me being asked if I felt the kill was necessary. Then I woke.
On to the coincidence. As it is getting quite hot here my thoughst had turned to Tent City (our local sheriff's get tough center to detain DWI and other offenders) and at my parents' house mentioned how I wondered how Mark Grace was doing (our local DWI busted super-celeb)... then that night on the news Mark was on ! It was such a strange coincidence because I had heard nothing of him for so long. Anyhow, he certainly seems genuinely sorry, so I hope that means he gets it. I love Gracey... as the player who was such a critical part of making the Arizona Diamondbacks champs, to the personality and the color-commentator that I hope he is allowed to be again some day. This town does not adore our sports stars quite like many others (if he had still been in Chicago where he played with the Cubs he would be treated much more like royalty) and we tend to dump on people... but I really do miss him and hope that he not only stays in the valley, but that eventually he gets another chance with the Diamondbacks broadcasts. Grace is one of us. Love ya Mark and hope to see you back on top again very soon.
Have not been posting a lot... adjusting poorly to the heat, to suddenly having alone seem like lonely, and to "crap" that is out of my control (no Zen in me... I am a worrywort extraordinaire and the worst in the world at putting all things off till they become emergencies). I will try to get back to posting more.
Survivor had a good conclusion, in that a deserving player won... I just wish Erik or Malcolm could have gotten to the end against Cochran so we could see how things worked out. Looking forward to all the stuff coming up (Bachelorette, Big Brother, Master Chef) and hope that despite it being occasionally lame that The Glass House also somehow gets another chance. I am a reality junkie and need my fix constantly. Nashville is getting almost too weird... the twists are getting too much like daytime soaps LOL. Just saw Mariah Carey on American Idol ... ewww, I just do not get why she is still relevant.
