Leave it to a primarily Formula One driver to crash into a drying truck and cause the biggest fire NASCAR has seen in a long time (Yes, that is, in part, a joke). What a strange, surreal, endlessly bad race (Yet more watchable than 90% of good races could ever be). Danica's trip into the infield could have been so much worse. #24 blows an engine... yet has the foresight to get his arm out the window and wave off what could have been a massive accident... way to go Jeff.
Survivor : One World seems to be getting worse by the moment. Worst thing of it all is how little I like or identify with anyone they have cast. Stinkfest 2012.
The Biggest Loser was hilarious. Chism goes home and sings and has fun... never considers the likelihood he will doom himself. Literally youth and life inexperience doomed him. He was being a kid and glorying in the company of his friends. Cassandra is so cute. She is killing me.
Leap Day and I completely forgot to leap. Damn, no telling what I will forget to do at Neap Tide.
A few Leap Day things from the past (in no logical order) :
• February 29, 1992 - U2 kicked off their "Zoo TV" tour at Lakeland Arena in Lakeland, Florida. The Pixies were the supporting act. On the same day Earl "I'll paint any car for $_____" Scheib died.
• February 29, 1940 - Hattie McDaniel became the first Black to win an acting Oscar, winning the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her role in "Gone With the Wind" . Bob Hope was the host of the show, held at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.
• February 29, 1964 - The Rolling Stones played the Hippodrome in Brighton, England.
• February 29, 1972 - John Lennon & Yoko Ono's visas expired.
• February 29, 1980 - Gordie Howe scored his 800th NHL goal.
