Little victories

I love how sometimes the smallest of accomplishments makes my day. Yesterday I managed to remove a couple broken closet rod ends (plastic had melded to the paint and had to be chiseled off in pieces), install some new metal ends, cut and install a closet rod. Mind you, because I had laid my reading glasses down I nearly cut the rod 20 inches short (36 and 56 look a lot alike in blur mode) and I also forgot to take into account the thickness of the end pieces (was a fraction of an inch too long), but, in the end I got it nicely installed and it was a good feeling. The saddest part is that the closet rod broke a couple years back and I have left the old one and a pile of clothes and hangers laying in the closet since. After all, I have other closets.

Okay, I have a limerick that is more than a bit naughty, so, I will try my first ever use of lj_cut... thus, should you read it and be offended, you have been warned LOLOL.

I heard of a sheila named Mary
Who fell for a dingo named Larry
Though truly a mutt
He could lick his own butt
To say nothing of what he could "bury"

Anyhow, Christmas was very nice. I ate copious quantities, got bunches of hugs, and laughed a lot. I think that laughing was really needed. The gifts were perfect too. In all one of the best Christmases in a long time.

limerick, poetry, christmas
