Christmas Eve
First, a Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate the holiday. Tomorrow will find me at my parents' house, stuffing my face and exchanging gifts. I just finished wrapping the gifts (I cheated a little... had a couple gift bags and a metal holiday tin... made things easier) and am trying to relax.
The Arizona Cardinals lost today. The score made it look closer than it was, but despite being outscored 23-0 they came back and showed some heart late (I have no idea if Early Doucet even could have caught that ball, but, falling down when you are uncovered pretty much precludes making the play). Boo. Hiss. They still looked better than the Cowboys. Wow, that vaunted Ryan defense did not have much to show.
I came so close to a No Springsteen Christmas, but, a bit ago I flipped by The King of Queens and his version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" was playing. Arrrgh. I thought I had it. Never once in the stores or in the Goodwill I raided. Maybe next year !
