Hard to believe that an Arizona Cardinals team that jumped into a 1-6 abyss could actually finish a respectable .500 or better. The team is playing with some fire and pride, and though they have gotten a lot of breaks, they are at last fun to watch. And they finally got one from the 49'ers. The team needs to retire Larry Fitzgerald's jersey number now because he is the best this town is likely to ever see.
Ernie and Cindy winning The Amazing Race was certainly not very exciting, but, they played the last leg flawlessly while the other teams floundered and that is what it takes. I have enjoyed the show every season, even somewhat in the family season, and look forward to the next run. I know one thing for sure, I would not be cut out for the rigors of competing. Cannot drive a stick, cannot swim, and am anything but patient, especially in crowded places like airports.
Kind of disappointed in myself for missing the total lunar eclipse. I saw a magnificent one back in 1979 and always try to view eclipses, as well as comets, meteor showers and other "space stuff". I doubt I will ever completely outgrow loving those events. At least I hope not.
