3 bits of great news for this week.
1) My letter from JCC regarding my application for financial aid finally arrived. And although my parents are so far into debt that they can't give me one miserable dollar so I that can pay for college, the good people at FAFSA claim that I do not need financial aid. Thanks, butt fuckers, thanks a lot. It's really helpful that I'm going to have to resort to whoring myself in order to buy my economics book this semester. No really, don't be modest. You dicks should give yourselves a pat on the back.
2) I got another letter, this time from the Michigan Department of State, saying that I have to appear at the Driver Assessment Office on the 25th. This is because when I got my latest ticket (in October), I was still in my extended probationary period due to the ticket before that one. And that meant that should I get a third ticket, I would have to have a driver-reexamination.
Well, Ya-fuckin'-hoo. I didn't realize that I was the enemy of the state, but thanks to the people at the Driver Assessment Office, I am now understanding this and will soon change my ways. The path to a grander, more promising existence starts right now. Thank you, Driver Assessment Office.....thank you. And while I continue to see drunk people swerve in front of my car whenever I'm out driving past 1 in the morning, I trust that it's better that I have my license possibly suspended as opposed to those dousche bags.
3) And speaking of cars: I've been driving my mom's car while she's been in Phoenix for the past week, and experiencing what it is like to have a working vehicle. But I completely forgot that I'm not allowed to have a working car of my own, so it died on Friday night after work. It's a good thing I wasn't driving it for too much longer, because the "Tyler & Auto Rules of Driving" state prohibitively that I cannot drive a working car for longer than 1 whole week before having it repaired for something. I felt like such a dumbass once I remembered the rule book....I mean, what was I thinking? I totally let it slip my mind, and for that I am thankful for this abrupt reminder. I'll never let it happen again, Buick. EVER.
***And as a bonus, all I wanted to do was spend Martin Luther King day with my girlfriend, and now she's sick. Uggghh.
