Yesterday, I had knee surgery.

It surprisingly wasn't as bad as they thought. The issue in my meniscus was caused by a partially unhealed repair, so it wasn't a new tear. My Ortho trimmed it up, and fixed the frayed edges. I'm still going to be referred for a meniscus transplant because my bone arthritis is minimal, and I have lost enough weight in the last two years to be eligible. So, essentially, my weight loss has saved my knee. Half the reason it looked bad on my MRI is because the frayed edges were distorted.

So, I got lucky. We thought I might have to entirely remove my meniscus, but I still have 35% of it left.
