I have *sniff sniff* I have *cough cough* THE FLU BOOHOOOOHOOOO.
It’s not ‘Man Flu’ either. I felt disgusting yesterday and was running a slight fever (in England you seem so associate the word “fever” with “hospital” and “death” in America it just means I’m hotter than I should be according to my little beeping thermometer.) Today I felt worse and the fever was higher THIS to me means tomorrow will be the day I start to feel better. I can’t wait for tomorrow.
Positive things about the this flu are:
I got it AFTER all the fun festivities were over. Some might even link my flu to the unhealthy life style I’ve been leading for the past week or so. You know…the over drinking, over smoking, over eating…to them I say POPPYCOCK!
I’m currently testing every brand of anti cold/ anti flu remedy. I shall recommend the best to you when my research is concluded.
I haven’t been able to smoke AT ALL. This is a sign that I’m truly sick, a few sniffles I’ll still light up, a headache, a tummy ache EVEN a chest infection and I’ll happily puff away. The very idea of smoking makes me feel sick(er) at this point in time.
I can’t leave the house and spend money PLUS I’m in my parental home where they pamper me and feed me posh soups. This should mean I’ll be able to get through another term of uni illness free.
My eyes are glassy and shiny due to the fever. My nose might be red, my hair might be greasy and my cheeks or chipmunk puffy but my eyes are so sparkly and beautiful.
Ok that’s enough optimism, I’m going to drink a cough medicine/ lemsip/whisky concoction, I guarantee you it’s going to knock me out for the night.
Please send me healthy karma.
