Random Various Different Non-Similar Thoughts.

I have a bunch of junk running through my head, so I may as well write it all out now, LOL. At least the work "week" is almost over, thank goodness.

I couldn't care less about the political stuff right now, really, since I'm sure I'll have plenty to say later in the year, but I found it very entertaining that at Mike Huckabee's little press conference that Chuck Norris was smiling and whooping it up in the background. Seriously, I'd never vote Republican (at this point, at least), but I think if Chuck Norris ran for President, he could win! Okay, so maybe not, but he'd be an ideal Prez - just think of how easily wars could be waged and finished off with his skills alone. You say you want a nuclear war? Chuck Norris could stop the warheads cold in his teeth! Nobody messes with Chuck Norris, it's just a known fact. That and he'd promise Total Gyms for all, and that would take care of the obesity crisis! I mean, come on, it's a good idea in theory, right? So yeah, I think someone should have a talk with the REAL Texas Ranger and see what he thinks! /SARCASM

It still doesn't seem like it's been that long since the last disaster election hoopla, and the fact it's almost time again is just too weird. It'll be an interesting ride, but at least we can take comfort in the fact a Bush will not win this one!!! *COLLECTIVE SIGH OF RELIEF* Of course, the days are counting down to the year that sport6449 can run for office, so watch out, world! ;@ )

I don't know if anyone else bothered or not, but because there was such very truly boring TV on last night, I tuned into that Celebrity Apprentice (I haven't watched any of the regular ones in ages). Yeah, there's an hour I'll never get back! I mean, it wasn't horrible, but that wench Omarosa hasn't changed one bitch bit and thinks so highly of herself, I nearly vomited with apathy. She is just so...well, a waste of time and energy. I thought it was great the men handed it to the ladies, although it wasn't like they were completely worthless...although they didn't work it at all. Honestly, I would have been better off watching the Grey's Anatomy re-run instead!

Gene Simmons is pretty damn cool, although cocky (but he worked it FTW), and Marilu Henner was the only real saving grace for the women. (She should have offered cab rides with a hot dog purchase, LOL.) I didn't really care much for most everyone else, given how they're not exactly A-list celebs. I was a bit saddened that I really did not recognize Nadia Comaneci - I don't know what happened to her, but she didn't look very healthy; very gaunt, and barely made a peep. (But then again, the pressure to look good gets so drilled into the mind of gymnasts and never really leaves a person; I know she had an issue with that back in her day. Believe me, I know how it goes, being a former gymnast myself.) Other than them, I really didn't know about/care about the lot of 'em. So yeah, it was pretty mediocre, and I don't know that I'll watch it again.O_o I'll save y'all time and say while they're raising money for charity, the show is pretty unexciting and nothing new. Trump really just isn't all that like he thinks, but whatever.

That show has run its course, and had a long time ago...we need the WGA strike to end before it gets even worse than it is already! I mean, I was seeing promos for an upcoming revival of American Gladiators...seriously? Why?!??!? That is just one show we don't need back on TV. Surely there must be something novel that's more worthy of their time (and ours)? I think it's truly time for the "kill your television" era now, like never before. Ugh. X_x

I'm sure there's something else I was going to talk about, but I guess before I go offline for the weekend, I should really check my backlog of comments and such, since I know there's several I haven't responded to yet.

Other than all that, well, I'm adjusting a bit to the new duties at work; I'd really rather not be doing some of it, but I'm coming up with my own way to handle the onslaught and it seems to be clicking along, slowly but surely. It's still more stress than I'd like, but I think I'll survive somehow.

I hope everyone has a lovely "first weekend" of the year - I know we've got some pretty dicey weather all along the West Coast right now, but at least we're not having any snow, save for the mountains. (It can stay there and fall all it wants, so long as it doesn't come to the lowlands!)
