So, December TOTALLY just started, and yet a week from tomorrow is Christmas Eve? @_@ I find this very unacceptable, and I want my lost days back! *HOLIDAY PANIC SETS IN* ;_;
I think I'm mostly done with shopping, save for a few more small things for the people at the schmoffice, although I have yet to send out cards (I bought them this year, sorrys - no time to make any). Those may be late, but then, they were last year too. So, deal! Yerp.
*FEELS HER RIGHT FOOT 'BUZZING'*
Ouch damn damn damn...I think I broke one of the toes on my right foot the other day. It hella hurts; I know exactly how I did it too. I was showing a certain couple of little girls how to stand on their *very* tippy toes while wearing shoes; something I've done many times before, but it was on a hard floor (something I hadn't tried it on with my crappy shoes), and my feet did not agree with that. I heard and felt a snap in my "pointer finger" toe, and it was really numb and sore for awhile, but I could still walk. The real soreness didn't set in for awhile. I later taped it up, but upon looking at it last night, I noticed definite bruising in the "knuckle" area, and it is really stiff when trying to bend it. Makes walking VERY VERY difficult. ;_; The other surrounding toes are okay, though.
I have not broken a toe before, which is a miracle considering how clumsy I am. (But, I am slowly becoming more and more like my mother, who has broken several toes and fingers on many clumsy occasions.) D'oh! Well, it's bandaged up, so what else can I do? A Doctor wouldn't do anything different, except charge me for it! So, if it doesn't feel any worse, I'll just take care of it myself...my background in taping, bandaging and bracing sore things stems back to my days in sports. It will have to come out heal eventually. Yay...what a way to kick off the next major Holiday. Sick on Thanksgiving, in pain for Christmas! How can I top that? Dead on New Years? Yeah, let's not.
Lesson to Share/Moral of this Story: I would suggest nobody try standing on their *very* tippy toes on a hard, uncushioned floor with crappy shoes; soft floors and sturdy shoes, though, I highly recommend it! Or better yet, if you have pointe shoes stuffed with cotton! And also not just bare feet or socks (that's only when doing Pilates or Yoga). Don't forget to strike a graceful arm pose while doing so, and feel like a Prima Ballerina! Make your friends jealous (or scared)! Riiiiiight, Jill, riiight...
So, yeah. Really not much else to say...I'm bored. Work is SLLLLLLOOOOOOOW. And, I need to do some wrapping and taping and general Holiday-related mischief making this weekend. Yerp. (I invented that word, YERP [at least in this context], I think it's very catchy and that everyone should use it. How exactly, I don't know, but I'm using it as a replacement for yes/yep/yeah. And for those of you who know about the word DURP; yeah, not the same thing.)
And finally, yay for R
Randal! He will do a great job, although honestly, I *would* have hired both of them. I was sure Trump would, and obviously if not for his asking Randal what he thought about the idea; and what a dis that was, in a sense; Randal could have said "yeah, I think she'd be a valuable asset to the Trump Organization", and Trump probably would have done it. But he didn't, so that's that. He always could later anyway.
But then again, maybe the hesitation and Trump not just outright hiring her anyway was based on the final task; which poor Rebecca got majorly dissed/upstaged by Yahoo! on, if you ask me. Not fully her fault, but hey, what can you do? (At least they did come through with a donation in the end, but you know, I wonder if that was made out of guilt, or what. Then again, she could have done like Randal did and had a fundraising segment during the event anyway.) Both tasks were tough, and both handled them well, nonetheless. While I can sort of fault Rebecca on past decisions (backing Toral, anyone?), she still would have done well, I think. And at only 23? Wow. Oh well, though, I knew Randal would probably come out the winner from day one. So, that is that! How much longer can this show survive, though, I do wonder.
Now, go! Yerp.
