Teh Sickies - Redux.

Nov 23, 2005 13:02

So, I've been at home from work the past couple of days, still without a voice (well, I have moments of Peter Brady puberty-sounding vocal utterings, but that's it), and still unable to expel any of the crap that is causing this current sickie spell. (Well, minimal amounts at best.) @_@

Slept most of yesterday, trying to be alive today, and I feel okay mostly, except the shit in my chest, and the fact I'm UBER dizzy and I feel like the Sahara desert, dryness wise. IT SUCKS.

So much for the damn flu shot I got, meh. At least it's different than most crud I end up with, though.

Not sure if I'll be able to partake in tomorrow's festivities, which also sucks, because I REALLY want to go (it's at my cousin Brian & his new wife Kelli's house, which I've never seen but is HUUUUUGE). Plus, this would be an opportunity to try out Tofurkey (Kelli is a vegetarian, so she does the offbeat stuff). There will be regular turkey too, but I'd love to just try the stuff once. ^_^

I suppose I have to try and live though...I'm taking some nasty crap that I hope will kick in soon so I may sound human again. Someone always ends up sick during the Holidays in my family, but I really didn't want it to be me, dammit! (At least it's better than my brother having his Gall Bladder taken out several years ago, right before Thanksgiving...eew.)

I hope everyone else at least has a nice Holiday! And, if I can find it again, I *have* to post the infamous "Turkey Dance" that I enjoy sharing every year. It r0x0r5 my 50x0r5. Edit: HERE IT IS!

I guess that's it...*DRY COUGH* Owwww.

In other much happier news, my Grandma gets to go back home on Friday. Which will be good for her; she's gotten tired of being away from home (and didn't like the food, etc. at Bessie Burton, LOL). She will have in-home care for now, until other arrangements can be made for assisted living (which she is still very interested in). So, that's something in the right direction!

update, teh sickies, holidays, family, drugs are good
