Well, Bugger it!
Jill has no friggin voice today.
(I'm sure many will rejoice over this.)
I don't necessarily have "the crud" again, per se, but others have been sick and I'm sure I picked up a milder form of what I'd already had a month ago. But, I think a great deal of it has to do with the fact we have severe air inversion due to thick fog and the usual smog (plus the smog that travelled here from China, home of the most polluted air on Earth - thanks for sharing, guys!!!). And there is NO RAIN to clean it up. So, the air is chunk-style nasty, and may be for several more days. Don't try flying into Seattle this week if you don't have time for delays! @_@
So, yeah. I absolutely CANNOT talk. Yesterday it was wishy-washy, I sounded like some deep-voiced, almost Bea Arthur sounding, but today, I try and talk, and NOTHING vocal-sounding comes out; just an odd frog-style croak sound. I can whisper, but like that's gonna do me any good at work (but since it's only a 3-day work week, I came anyway). I mostly feel okay, I just can't talk. So, yeah. Happy happy happy. Joy joy joy. People will probably wonder why I'm not talking to them or saying "hello" back when they greet me. Sorry, I can't help it, duuuude, really I'm not trying to be ruuuude! X_X
Aside from that, my weekend was okay; the memorial for my Mom's uncle was a bit somber, but I got to see some family I don't see very often at all (second cousins, my Mom's cousins, etc.). So, that was interesting. It was at an Advent Christian Church (my Mom was raised in the AC church, but converted to Catholicism later), so they do things much differently, but it was okay, they're much more comfortable sharing their feelings openly. ^_^
Anyway, I have to get back to not talking and keeping awake and busy, and we'll see how that goes. 8_8 Man does not talking suck!!! Damn.

P.S. This new icon I'm using (if the LJ userpics are actually working again) is courtesy of my cat Squeaky! She has an odd habit of sticking her tongue out at random times; I have no idea why. But, it made for an ideal icon. (I took the piccy with my camera phone, if you can believe it...I did have to edit it a bit on my PC, but not much!)
