LMAO...I have the FUNNIEST STORY EVER to relay:
Someone just called me at work (I guess they looked me up) wondering if they could talk to Cynthia Gooch. (Some of you will already get this...wait for it...)
I was like "huh?"
And they started saying something about finding the name online, and found a quote I had posted (in a Square One TV-related Forum), and wondered if I knew who Cynthia Gooch was, since I posted a quote by her.
Cynthia Gooch was a CHARACTER in an episode of Mathnet. She does not really exist! And the quote was just a funny line from that episode:
"Poke your nose? No. G. Gordon and I never fight." - Cynthia Gooch, The Case of the Poconos Paradise.
I thought this guy was pulling my leg and was just some creepy stalker who was a fan of the show, and calling to tell me that, so I played all dumb.
Okay, so I said I didn't really know her, she was just a TV character, but apparently this guy had an old friend with the same name, who apparently lives in Vancouver or something, and wanted to know if I knew her.
I said, "er, sorry I can't help, it was just a quote from a T.V. show."
Then he promptly apologized, and I stopped to post this entry.
That has to be the MOST amusing call ever. How totally fricking that made my day! Poor guy, how embarrassing. ^_^ I hope he does find the chick, though. LMAO
