Summary: Jin is happy about his oh-so-called “normal life” until his mom announced that he’s future had been decided before he was born. Jin didn’t mind what he’s mom said since he thinks that his mom is just joking. But what will happen if he found out that his mom is telling the truth? And how will he face his everyday life if he’s going to live with his “future wife”? Will he accept the future that had been plan for him or will he find a way to change it?

Chapter Four: Sleep Tight, Don’t Let The ‘Bed Bug’ Bites

The night falls deeply as time passed by. Everyone was asleep except for Kame and Jin. Jin was sitting at the edge of the bed watching a late night show. Kame, on the other hand, was reading a book beside the window. For the passed two hours, they’ve been liked this.  No one tries to talk or make any hint on going to bed.

“When will Jin go to bed? It’s been past eleven and he’s still watching television. To be honest, I’m really sleepy but I must stay awake until Jin decided to sleep. I really don’t want to sleep beside him; I’m not used to sleep with someone especially if it’s a guy. Oh, please make Jin feel sleepy,” Kame pleaded as he looked at the latter, who yawns suddenly.

Jin felt bored on what he’s watching. He tries to change the channel but nothing seems to get him interested. “Ugh, what’s up with these shows?” Jin yawned and looked at his watched. “Oh! It’s quarter to twelve already. I didn’t notice the time. I guess I have to sleep now, or mom will kicked me out of the bed for waking up late. Man, why does she have to sleep here. I thought I’m going to be free now. But it’s only for tonight, right? Tomorrow she’ll be gone for sure,” Jin smirked. He turned off the television and lay down on the bed. He was about to close his eyes when he caught Kame reading beside the window.

“Aren’t you going to sleep?” Jin asked.

Kame turned his eyes to Jin and said, “Maybe later”.

“Oh, come on. It’s already quarter to twelve, I know you’re already sleepy,” Jin said.

“No, I’m still fully awake,” Kame answered as he turned his eyes back on reading.

“You know, even though we only know few facts about each other, I can say that you’re the only person I’ve ever known who doesn’t get tired on reading books. I will not be surprised if one day you have your own library,” Jin said.

“Is that a compliment?” Kame asked.

“Yeah, think so,” Jin answered.

Kame smiled and looked at the latter. To his surprised, Jin was already asleep. “To be honest, he looks like a child while sleeping. An innocent one,” Kame said to himself. He looked at his book and said, “Good night”. And then, he started to read again.

After a couple of minutes, Kame started to feel drowsy. He can no longer understand what he’s reading as he keeps on drowsing after each moment. He closed his book and looked at the bed. He saw Jin sleeping soundly. He wants to lie down on the open space that Jin gave him to sleep on. But, thinking that he will sleep with someone, gives him an uneasy feeling. He closed his eyes as he decided to sleep to where he was. He tried to find the right spot for him to feel comfortable on sleeping but unfortunately he can’t.

“Argh!! I don’t have any choice but to sleep next to Jin,” Kame said as he stood and walked near the bed.

He sat down on the edge slowly, trying not to wake the latter up. As he did this, he’s heart doesn’t stops on beating so fast. He slowly lay down on the very edge of the bed, leaving a big space between him and Jin.  Every move he makes, makes his heart thud loudly. When he was settled in the bed. He switched off the lamp. He turned his back to Jin and starts to close his eyes when suddenly, he felt Jin moved. “Please, don’t be awake! Please, don’t be awake!,” Kame said softly under his breath.

“Good thing you change your mind and sleep here,” Jin whispered on Kame’s ears.

Kame widened his eyes and quickly faced Jin. “You’ll still awake?” Kame asked.

“Yup,” Jin answered.

“But I thought you’re-” Kame was cut off by Jin. “Asleep. I’m just pretending”.

Kame was about to stand up but Jin place his arm around the latter’s waist. Kame tried to remove Jin’s arm but since the latter was stronger than him, he wasn’t able to remove it.

“Don’t you want to sleep with me?” Jin asked as he moves his self near Kame.

“I-i-it’s no-not that, I’m not ju-just sleepy awhile ago,” Kame stuttered.

“Why are you stuttering? I’m just asking,” Jin laughed. “Why? Are you afraid that I might do something to you?” Jin asked as he looked into Kame’s eyes, making the latter blushed. Good thing that Jin couldn’t see it, or Kame don’t know what he’ll gonna do.

“No, why would I be afraid of you? And for your information, I know you like girls and I like girls too. Your cousin told me that you like to date girls and have sex with them. And she said that you’re a… you’re a playboy!” Kame said as he move Jin’s arm away from him and stood up.

Jin was surprise by Kame’s statement. He sat up and said, “Ok, chill. I’m just joking. And please, keep your voice down. They might wake up and hear you”.

Kame sighed. “Sorry about that, my mind is not working properly, right now. I’m tired and I just want to sleep,” Kame apologized.

“I guess I owe you an apology too. Sorry,” Jin sheepishly smile, making Kame to smile too. “Let’s sleep now, my mom would kick me out off the bed when she found out that i wake up late again,” Jin said as he lay down on the bed. “Good night, Kazuya” he muttered before he sank into his dreams.

Kame can’t hide the feeling relief. He lay down next to Jin, but this time, instead of feeling nervous, he felt at ease. “It’s the first time I heard Jin called out my name. And I’m glad that he knows it,” Kame said as he looked on the sleeping Jin. “Good night to you too, Jin”.

A little sunlight struck Kame’s face, making him move his face to the opposite side. Then, he felt something, something that’s very unusual. Something soft, something wet, something… “Something like, lips,” Kame quickly opened his eyes. He widened his eyes as he saw Jin’s face so close to him. He parted his lips from Jin’s.

His heart started to beat faster and faster. It was his first time to kiss someone. To be honest, he had never been into any relationship before, so everything was very new to him. He tried to get out of bed but Jin’s leg was resting on his thighs, making it hard for to move. And the worst part is that, Jin suddenly wraps his arm around Kame’s waist.

“Oh, man. Is this the worst day or what? Of all that bad things that will gonna happened, why am I the one who’s in this kind of situation?” Kame said. He prayed that Jin could move his arm and leg out of him so that he could be able to get out of bed.

After a few minutes, Jin moved to the other side of the bed. Kame quickly went into the bathroom. He washed his face, especially his lips. As he wipes his face with his towel, he suddenly stops and looks at his self in the mirror. The scene awhile ago, flashed into Kame’s mind. He remembered the kiss, the first kiss he ever had. He slowly placed his two finger tips into his lips. “My first kiss. My first kiss came from… came from Jin,” Kame widened his eyes and shook his head. He slapped his cheeks with his two palms. “Kazuya, that’s not a kiss. That’s an accident, remember that,” he whispered under his breath.

After a few wipes in his face, he hung the towel at the back of the door. He took a deep breath and said softly, “You can do this. Just walk pass by the bed and walk straight to the door. That’s the only thing you’ll gonna do, you can do this”.

He opened the door and closed it slowly. He walked quietly as he passes by the bed. He was about to reached the door knob, when he felt Jin moved from the bed. He stood still, afraid that Jin might wake up and notice him.

“Good morning, Kazuya,” Jin greeted as he looked at the figure standing at the door.

Kame bit his lower lip as he turned around to face the older man. “Good morning to you too, Jin,” Kame greeted, plastering a forced smile into his face. “Nice day we have, right?” Kame asked.

“I thi-,” Jin was suddenly cut off by Kame. “Yeah, such a nice day. Nice chatting with you, bye,” Kame said as he quickly left the room, slamming the door and leaving Jin behind.

“What’s wrong with that guy? Did something happen while I’m still asleep?” Jin thought for a moment and said, “Nah~~ maybe he’s just not a morning person”.
