“Kame,” Jin called as he stops on walking.
“Yeah?” Kame turned his eyes to his best friend and stops walking.
“Uhmm… I was wondering if you had any suggestion on where we should go. ‘Coz I really don’t have any clue on where we should go,” Jin said as he fidgets his fingers.
Kame looked at Jin. “Wahh~ looking at a shy Jin is so unbearable. He’s so cute. If only I could squeal in front of him because of his cuteness, I will certainly do it,” Kame place a soft smile and suggest, “Why don’t we go to a pet shop first?”
“A pet shop?” Jin furrowed his brows.
“Yup! Well, you see, I’m planning on buying a pet for me and my little sisters. It’s been awhile since we had a pet around our house,” Kame explained.
“You had a pet?” Jin asked.
“Yeah, we had one before but he died two years ago,” Kame answered.
“Oh…,” Jin said softly. He suddenly felt so left behind. There’s so many things happened to his best friend that he hadn’t known. He doesn’t want to admit it but deep down, he felt so guilty on leaving his best friend for six years.
Kame notice Jin’s sudden change of mood. “Don’t be sad. I don’t want you to be sad. I’m not used to it. Please be happy, my Jin,” Kame said to himself as he sees Jin making a sad sigh. “Jin,” Kame said as he place his hand on the latter’s shoulder.
Jin looked at Kame, who has a smile plastered on his face. “Sorry for the sudden change of mood. I know this day should be a happy day for both of us. Sorry for ruining the mood,” Jin said.
Kame shook his head and said, “Don’t worry you didn’t ruin the mood, so it’s alright. But if you do, you’ll going to be punished.”
“Is that a threat?” Jin asked.
“Yes, it is. You have a problem with that? Huh?” Kame said as he tried to hide his smile.
“No, there’s nothing wrong with it but, do I have to be punished?” Jin pouted.
“If Jin is good, then there will be no punishment. But if Jin is bad, then he will have to accept the consequences. After all, HE’S the one who drags me into this, so bear with it,” Kame explained.
“Mou~~ Kame is so mean,” Jin pouted some more.
Kame looked at him for a second. And then, he suddenly laughs. Jin looked at him as he still pouting. But looking at Kame laughing so freely makes him happy too. He laughed along with the latter, even though he doesn’t clearly know why his laughing or what Kame is laughing about.
The aura in Jin, suddenly change. The feeling of guilt and sadness were blown away by Kame’s laugh. “If I could just preserve that laugh and happiness in you, I will do everything,” Jin said to himself as he looked at Kame.
“Come on, let’s go,” Kame said as he drag Jin’s sleeve to a near by pet store.

It’s been thirty minutes since they entered the pet shop. Kame was so happy to see so many cute animals. Jin, on the other hand, didn’t bother to complain since Kame had threatened him awhile ago that he will have a punishment if he ruined Kame’s mood.
“Uwaa~~ they are so cute,” Kame said as he look at the two fluffy rabbits snuggling into each other’s warmth.
“Kame,” Jin called.
“Yes?” Kame turned his gaze to his best friend.
“Uhmm, well, you see… hmm… I was just wondering how long we’re going to stay here,” Jin asked. Kame stood straight and faced him. He felt nervous when Kame gave him a glare. “It’s alright if we’re going to stay here all day. It’s really alright with me. You can continue on looking at them. If you think I’m complaining, you’re mistaking. I’m just asking, that’s all,” Jin said, wishing that he didn’t make Kame angry. “Please don’t punish me, please don’t punish me,” Jin keeps on repeating this words.
Kame stood there, glaring at Jin. And then, he suddenly smile and bid the pet shop owner good bye. Jin wasn’t able to react on Kame’s actions. It was too sudden for him. He just let the latter drag him out of the shop and the next he knows, he was in front of a fast food chain.
“Jin, what are you gonna order?” Kame asked as they went on the back of the line.
“Wha-what?” Jin was snapped back into the reality.
“I asked you, what are you going to order?” Kame repeated.
“Oh, hmm… a burger is alright with me,” Jin answered.
“Ok, why don’t you find us a table as I wait here in line,” Kame suggested.
Jin nodded and followed Kame’s command. After a while, Kame walked near where Jin was sitting.
As they eat, Jin suddenly asked, “So where are we going next?”
“I don’t know, you’re the one who supposedly know where we’re going to,” Kame said. Jin felt that the latter was blaming him.
“Sorry,” Jin said softly.
“What?” Kame said, cupping his ear with his hand.
“I said, I’m sorry,” Jin said as little louder this time.
“What did you say? I can’t hear you,” Kame said as he draws his ear near to Jin.
“I said, I’m sorry,” Jin yelled.
People suddenly looked at him. Jin felt so embarrassed at the glance he is receiving from the other customers. He bowed at them, as a sorry for the disturbance he had done. Kame, on the other hand, laughed at his best friend’s stupidity.
Jin place as death glare at him and asked, “What are you laughing at? You’re the reason why they looked at me.”
“I am?” Kame asked.
“Yes, you are,” Jin said.
“Na-uh. You’re the one who yelled not me. So I think it’s not my fault,” Kame said proudly.
Jin pouted. He’s no match at Kame, when it comes to this kind of situations. Kame always find away to throw back the things at you.
“Wahh~~ my Jin is pouting again. He so cute. I want to pinch his cheeks. Wait! Hold yourself Kazu! There are three things that you MUST always remember. First, that guy, who’s sitting in front of you, is your BESTFRIEND. Second, he already has a GIRLFRIEND, and her name is Naomi. Third, you already decided to LET GO of your feelings, don’t make it difficult for you again,” Kame said to himself.
“Kame, are you alright?” Jin asked.
“Yes, I’m fine. Have you finished eating?” Kame asked.
“Yeah,” Jin answered.
“Then, let’s go,” Kame said as he stood up from his seat.
“To where?” Jin asked.
“Hmm…,” Kame placed his hands on his pockets and tilted his head on the side. Jin patiently waited for the latter. “I know, let’s go to the amusement park,” Kame said happily.
“Ok, I you said so,” Jin answered.

They spend the rest of the afternoon, having fun and riding all the available rides in the amusement park. They share and ate cotton candy. They took some silly photos together in a photo booth. They play some arcade games. It was a fun day for the both of them. It’s like they went back from the past. At that certain moment, Jin and Kame forgot about the six years that had passed by. The six years that made a big gap into their relationship.
“The sun is already setting. Wanna ride in the Ferris wheel?” Jin asked.
“Sure, let’s go,” Kame said as they walked going to where the Ferris wheel was.
They enter one of the carts and sat on the opposite sides. After a few moments, the Ferris wheel starts to move. Kame placed his two hands at the window and looked at the sun as it sets.
“Amazing,” the only word that Kame could describe.
Jin smiled as he fully remembers the young Kame before. The young Kame before and the older Kame now didn’t really change at all. He still is the young Kame who loves surprises, nature and sweets. It made Jin glad. It gave him hope that it’s not to late to fill the six years gap between him and Kame. “I will surely fill those gaps,” Jin said to himself as he sat next to Kame.
The Ferris wheel suddenly stopped, making the cart they were riding to be placed at the top. Kame felt Jin tapped his shoulder.
Kame turned his gaze to Jin. “Wha-,” he was cut off by the latter’s sudden action. A deep and long kiss that was initiated by Jin. Kame wants to push Jin away but the sensation stops him to do so. He was drowning by the warmth that Jin was giving him. “It’s wrong but it feels so right,” Kame said to himself.
