Jill didn't know what to make of anything that had happened lately, which was probably part of the reason she was more than a little drunk and stumbling toward the clinic with two extra drinks in her hands. Neither of them were for her, because even considering that alcohol might be her next addiction, she was still aware enough of herself to know when she'd had enough. No, both the drinks were for Carson. She knew he was alone in the clinic and she knew he'd been repressing for weeks now and the only solution she had was to get him drunk.
Frankly, she had no idea if it was actually going to work, but she was going to give it a shot anyway. Maybe what he needed was just to get drunk and forget for an evening. Or maybe it would just be a really horrible idea, but there was no way to know until she tried.
Besides, concentrating on Carson was better than concentrating on her own life and all the ways in which she was possibly fucking it up.
"Hi," she announced when she entered the clinic. "I brought you beer and wine. I didn't know what you liked."
