The threat of frost has finally passed, so now I'm putting into action my plan to create a mini vegetable garden that I came up with over the winter. Of course the area of ground I want to use has never had anything but weeds in it for the 3+ years I've been living here, so to ensure good soil quality I have to dig down at least a foot or two to turn and loosen the soil. Gah, I didn't think it was possible for there to be so many big rocks and roots in such a small space. I've been at it for the past couple days - part of the reason it's taking so long is because the soil in my region tends to have a high clay-content and it forms these big rock-hard clods that have to be broken up. It doesn't help that I'm doing most of this with a little hand-trowel since I can't seem to find a spade in any of the equipment sheds. It'll be worth it in the end. Hopefully. ⌐_⌐
Apparently my neighbours are getting a bit concerned about the large hole I've created and have worriedly asked my boyfriend what I'm doing (because they're too afraid to ask me directly...?). I should tell them that it's where I put the bodies. XD
lol,
