The faster I run, the faster it goes, and the harder I have to work to keep up with it, lest I get whizzed around and thrown on my head in a pile of shavings and hamster pellets.

(Yeah, it's been one of *those* weeks. I really want to go into hermitage for a few days/weeks, but I have Stuff to Do, dammit.)

I hate, hate, HATE getting to work when it's still dark outside. If I don't, though, I wind up spending an extra 30 minutes each way commuting, and I hate wasting time sitting in traffic even more than I hate getting to work in the dark. There was frost (which has since turned to water droplets) on the inside windows of my office at work when I arrived this morning.

Usually, the fall time change gives me energy, because I get a little light on the way to work in the morning, and that always helps my mental state. But I'm not feeling especially energetic today. Mostly I'm feeling like I want to crawl under a rock and not come out until the chaos is over. ( Cut for whining. )

So, it looks like the buyer's financing on my house in Baltimore is not happening because she fraudulently represented herself to the lender and they didn't do all the verification they should have until after they'd gotten to the point of commitment on the loan.
