Scans: Trinity #10

Aug 09, 2008 13:03

This week in Trinity the mind-control hints continue in intriguing ways, and the Crime Syndicate shows up (but so far just postures a bit).

More to the point, Dick and Tim eat cukewiches and Dick gets his butt ogled by a talking gorilla in a metal corset.

No, really.

Seeing the Crime Syndicate drives Superman almost round the bend, which triggered a ( Read more... )

Ogling Dick's derriere, even by a corseted gorilla, is priceless! That boy has the best buns in the DCU! ;)

Loved the Batcave scenes.

I'm also smiling that Dick's mask was the first thing gone after as the 'friend' totem for Batman, and then Jim's pipe was substituted because the mask exploded! ;)

As for Clark going off...seems to me the clue might be 'rage', which is a switch with Bruce, emphasizing his thirst for justice. As a man with all those powers, holding back with this new 'rage' would seem unbearable.

Diana's bluntness and analysis could be a transferral of Bruce's characteristics and applied to her mission of Truth.

Bruce is diplomatic and insightful, using Diana's diplomatic skills and applying it to his keen observation of his teammates.

Whatever the case, isn't it getting really fun in this series?

Argh! I knew that was Crime Alley when 'foundation' was mentioned. *shivers*

Yeah, they've got Diana friendless until bringing Etta back. They really have screwed over Diana yet again in recent years, making her this Goddess figure and not connecting too well with humanity at times.

Hmm, her foe could be (and since I'm not following her book not sure if they're still available) Cheetah or Circe, and even though they retconned the Steve/Diana romance he still crashed outside Paradise Island, and wasn't that the catalyst for her to come to Man's World? So maybe a piece of the plane works for the foundation?

Clark's foundation could be Kryptonite stolen from the Batcave, or a piece of his spaceship or maybe something from the Kent farm.

Either way, it'll be interesting! And didn't one of the villains say 'four' more items were needed and there's only three spaces? So something that ties together the Trinity?

And how cool is seeing who's in Superwoman's lasso? ;)

They do seem to be shuffling around their characteristics. I'd really dislike it if somehow that meant Bruce became a nice forgetful guy and Clark and Diana became rude homicidal maniacs. Doesn't say much good about Batman...

I'm glad Etta's back, although I don't have much of a grip on her personality yet. It does take time to rebuild something like that.

A bit of the plane might work! Or it could be even simpler than that as she was created from the clay of the Earth...

I hope they can't just break into the Batcave and steal Kryptonite! I hope it's more secure than that or Kal is in a lot of danger...*shudders* With Tarot helping them they might be able to know Smallville is the key...

It could be all the characteristics are exaggerated due to the magical meddling.

That's definitely a thought, but I think the clay/earth would apply to Diana, and the plane to Wonder Woman. Their heroic personas seem to be the ones that hold the magical keys.
