Superman Music Marathon: My Two Favorite Songs
OK, hissy fit deleted while I recoup. :-)
And no better way to recoup than posting two gorgeous songs to celebrate the opening of "Superman Returns"! Both of these songs are in the "wispy ethereal folky" style, just so you know more or less what you're getting.
The first is Iron and Wine's "Waiting for a Superman," Which wins the "wistful and melancholy" title hands-down.
The second is Sufjan Stevens's "The Man of Metropolis Steals Our Hearts," which is wistful and hopeful and beautiful.
From what I've read of the movie, I think these two songs fit the mood of it quite well. I'm looking forward to seeing it in a month!
