CRAVINGS!

It started out with and has continued that my little girl loves fruit! It started with cherries. I could not get enough of them. For months I had to eat fruit at least twice a day. Pineapple (fresh only) and grapes (red) were among the favorites. Apples (Macintosh are the first choice) and melon were staples as well.

Old School craving- I was watching Seinfeld and saw something that made me think of  Honey Smacks Cereal. Granted I haven't had this cereal since I was a kid and suddenly felt like it was something I really wanted. I told Mike I suddenly was looking to eat it and he went to the store and brought it for me to have at breakfast. He found the very last box...what a sweetheart!

Spiciest Craving (not that I don't always love spicy) - I came to the conclusion one day I needed Ramen noodles. Mama Neema (mike's mom) went to the Korean market and got me wonderful ones and Kim chee (hence the spice) to boot. Yippie for Halmuni (Grandma)!

Most specific craving - I went through a phase where I could not get enough of peanut butter on English muffin (bottom side preferred). Yummy!

Long distance craving - I once drove home on my lunch break to make a grilled cheese sandwich even though I had brought my lunch already.

A Craving Enhanced - I always love CHEESE but with this little one on board I needed cheese at least once a day for the longest time. Cheddar and Pepper Jack were the top favorites. I also made my own little mix of dried cranberries, cashews or almonds to eat with the cheese.

Tartest Craving- The best discovery was one day went Mike went to get ice cream from the store and asked me if I wanted any. I was in the mood for sorbet (suggested lemon). He came back with Haggan Daz Fat free Lemon sorbet!! OOOOO so lovely and tart. I still love it so. I have some in the freezer.....

Cinema Inspired Craving - I fell in love with Welch's Fruit snacks (Mixed Fruit) for quite  a stretch after getting some at  the movies. I searched and searched for them and could not find them. Then my dear one Mike found them in his work vending machine and brought some home. While in Texas I discovered Walmart actually sells them in snack size packs in bulk...yippie craving acomplished!

A funny thing that started right away was the "good decision." For the first Trimester of my pregnancy I had to either smell or envision the taste of something to be sure it was a good idea to eat. I remember we went to eat Italian (Carmines) and when I smelled the restaurant I said "This smells like s good decision" and so the phrase was born.

*Thank you Mya for not making Mommy want anything really disgusting! *giggles*
