So, I haven't really had much time for updating this weekend, so I'm putting it all into one big one. Sucks for you. Sorry. Unless you don't read it, which is always an option, and I'm sure will most likely be the case! :oP
I worked "Tea!" at Wheeler Arts Center this weekend as House Manager, but that's finally over, so I can move on to the next show without that one still looming over my head. And, by next show... I mean "Stage Blood." We were also in tech for that a large part of the weekend. It opens this coming Friday. It should be good stuff. I think it's pretty hilarious, but uhhhhh... we all know I laugh at everything! Seriously though... good show, very funny... despite the fact that I'm a little (a lot) biased. Many of you are involved with it, so it's pointless to do the shameless promotion, but for those of you that aren't U of Indy theatre kids:
"Stage Blood"
Friday, November 21, 8:00
Saturday, November 22, 8:00
Sunday, November 23, 8:00
Thursday, December 4, 8:00
Friday, December 5, 8:00
Saturday, December 6, 8:00
I better see all y'all asses there!! Hmph!! Tee hee!!
Ummm... otherwise, besides the "busy-ness" it's been a pretty good, fun-filled weekend with good peoples. Friday, after "Tea!" some kids came back to my place and we watched "Mr. Deeds." SO stupid that you've just got to laugh... right? "Sneaky sneaky!" Uhhh... I think more movie nights are needed over here, considering the fact that many of the kids hadn't ever seen a large portion of my collection... and I consider it to be a pretty decent, well-rounded little collection ("little" being the operative word...)
Then, Saturday... Cue-To-Cue for "Stage Blood" in the morning and afternoon. Then, pretty much took right off to Wheeler again. After the show, didn't really have plans, so Amanda and I went driving around with some of her friends... just being sillies. Well, I'll say that Amanda was acting that way, at least. I swear that girl is on crack sometimes, but she makes me laugh. I almost got into a political debate with the boy that was driving us around though, because... well, I won't go into it, because discussions like this tend to come back to bite me in the ass... BUT, his deductive reasoning behind why he likes G.W. Bush... it was lame and totally unfounded. I held my tongue though. If people can give me a legitimate reason to argue against, well... I'll at least listen and give them a fair shot, before I'll maybe go in for the debate. But, this wasn't even worth my time, because he was just clueless. Oh well.
Sunday... today, last performance of "Tea!" and a little "hooray" for me! Then, tech rehearsal for "Stage Blood." I was sort of running around like a chicken with her head cut off, because I'm doing a lot of little things during the show, and I really need to get myself organized with one all-encompassing list. It'll come together though. I have a better idea of what I need to accomplish now.
Uhhhh... definitely tripped over the bar in the dressing cubicle thing-er-mer-bob when I had to come out as the ghost for the first time, because I didn't know it was there, and I couldn't see it... making for a "not-so-scary" ghost moment. I definitely just started laughing. Good job Kristina. And the groping was in full effect tonight. I was definitely racking up the points. What can I say?... payback's a bitch!! Haha. Uhhhh yeah. Don't get any ideas though... NO GROPING WITHOUT PERMISSION!
Then, I did a little stealth maneuvering afterwards to get away from... uhhhhh... someone... [side note: "What subject?... Ohhhh yeah, you really need to go write that paper."] Went and grabbed some food with Chris, Nash, and Tana - laughed a whole hell of a lot, as always with those kids. Ummmm, went and snuck back into the dorm after that (...such a little deviant) - caught "Nick of Time" on TV (yes, that'd be a Johnny Depp movie, ladies) and watched that with Chris... sat, talked, laughed... made fun of Christopher Walken. Chris' tummy likes to talk. Haha. I had to say that. Always good times. Uhhh, and then pretty much took out of there around 3:00 AM... which lands me here right now and concludes my weekend o' fun.
I SHOULD be at least reviewing my notes for that Finite Test in the morning, but... of course not. I'm procrastinating as always, and probably won't really sleep tonight, as per my usual routine. Ok ok... I'll stop rambling on and boring you and I'll go get to work.
