I wish it were less complicated.
Meh. Thus is...
So I am re-evaluating what I am going to do for grad work once again. I still want to do the social work program. HOWEVER, I registered for classes in the fall and I realized that next semester I will be taking my last COMM class of my undergraduate career. It made ms so sad. Literally. So now I am considering getting a master's degree in Communication Arts or Family Communication. This way I could possibly teach as well and am not confined to only social work career paths. I always go back and forth between wanting to be a teacher and wanting to be a counselor anyway.
It seems in my job right now (I am a behavior development coach for the Indy Met Charter High School, basically an entry-level social worker) that the advisors (teachers) have more of an influence or impact on the students anyway. That's my sole career objective, to leave a lasting positive impact on kids. If that means being a teacher, then that's what that means. However, the legal job description of social workers seem to be more up my alley.
So, my educated friends, I need your advice.
Ami, I need your insight. We need to talk. Miss you!!!!!
