Come around, come around no more.
I hope everyone else had a nice holiday. I eventually did! By Wednesday, I was hungry again and more or less put back on the weight I lost two days prior. Sigh. I got a belated Thanksgiving dinner since I didn’t go to one this year. Maybe that’s the culprit.

Ah 'The Look'...I know it well. ^-^ but I think that slashing throats is so dinner conversation, it just depends on who you're with.

I liked Sweeney Todd, too. I LOVE the show and I thought this was a good adaptation to film - it did away with a lot of the over-the-top showyness that musicals tend to ooze so that a wider audience could get into it (and the vocal talent was more relaxed and humanly flawed than a stage production), and that's a good thing. I mean, don't get me wrong, there were still over-the-top elements - the blood, for instance!
It just amused me that throughout all my sister could do was talk about how hot Depp looked, how fantastic Cohen's outfit was, and how mesmerizing Rickman's shiny gold package was - I found myself able to describe the movie with the exact same sentence I used to describe 300: lots of hotness, lots of gore.
