While drooling over more minis, I found an article about
WotC employees' dice superstitions.
Each of my characters gets his or her own set of dice. They get one full set appropriate to the system, plus any extras based on their most common rolls (e.g. my latest character for
dm_bashir's game has an extra d4 because his primary weapon is a chain). Characters share dice only in the case of lost dice. The exception is the bulk d6s and d8s I use for spells at higher levels. A the start of each session, all dice are rolled repeatedly until they all get the optimal result. As each hits said number, it is removed. Once they are all primed, they are lined up in order by number of sides for later use. A die, once rolled, is set back to that number and put in order. Dice are not rotated due to poor results; I have bad runs and so do they, and my faith in them will be rewarded eventually.
So how do you love your dice?
