I got the Impreza today!!! In an awesome turn of events, I a) negotiated the price down another $500 (I never in a million years thought that they would come down any more...they were already selling it for below invoice!) and b) got alloy wheels for free!!!! Yesterday I found out that the business manager for the dealership is from Rochester (he's the first one I've met since moving here who even knows where Rochester is!), so when I went back to the dealership yesterday to put a deposit down (just in case lol), we ended up talking for about 20 minutes. When I came in to purchase the car today, I noticed that it had new wheels on it...turns out they had them from another trade-in, so Louis (the BM) gave them to me!! YAY!!! Haha for once, my being from "across the border" has come in handy :P In addition to the wheels, Louis is hooking me up with an audio shop his friend owns that will give me a discount for being a customer of his. This dealership may be small (only 3 employees, although they are in a large auto group), but they are seriously nice! Everything went soo smoothly...my mom says that she's def going to go to Sutton when she gets the money to replace her beater.
The Impreza drives great...you could easily mistake the ride for that of a Lexus! It poured rain today, and I could really tell I had AWD. Very nice. Oh yea, and I also found out that it was partially assembled in Indiana, which helps the bit of "import guilt" I had. Hah that means that technically, Subaru could race in NASCAR...that sure would be a weird sight! Of course, I thought it was weird when Toyota came in.
Anyways, I spent all day going to auto parts stores...I ended up driving a fair ways away because all the stores here have very slim pickings. The NAPA I went to had 3 aisles...seriously! So I ended up going 1/2 hour away to Pep Boys. I got a black & blue seat cover that has extra cushiony support, aluminum pedal covers with a blue color plate, black plush steering wheel cover, a panoramic rearview mirror with a compass, and wheel locks. I've put everything in except the pedal covers...I didn't have a small enough screwdriver to fit, plus it was getting dark, so I'm putting that off til tomorrow. The rest of it looks awesome though! I also put in the dolphin rubber floor mat, which matches all the other blue in the accessories.
