Perhaps the animals are dreaming of a better life when they are bought by their future owners. They may imagine to be cuddled, to be fed with treats, to have lots of play time and most of all, to develop meaningful relationships with human beings.
For some of these pets, their entire life may be determined by what type of owner they will get. For others, they may be lucky to have experienced more than one owners - some caring, some not so kind. Some of them may be abandoned by their previous owners and the animals are still missing them despite their unkindness.
Do pets have feelings? I think they do.
