"All we wanna do is eat your brains"

So tired. ;_;

Last night my voice just barely held out until the end of the show. It must have sounded so painful. Overall, though, closing went very well. Now I have spare time! No voice, though. I'm sipping lots of tea with honey and lemon in hopes that it will return in time for my monologue presentation tomorrow. Ideally I'd sleep more today, but I have a paper to write and I've got to work at seven (Idina Menzel's in town and I get to see her for ~free.~ I love working at the theater.)

Halloween celebrations were fun. Friday night we were all at Charlie's, and I did my Clara Bow costume -- no one recognized it, and the makeup didn't work as well as I'd hoped, but the consensus seemed to be that I looked good anyway, so hey. Last night we went to Katie's for a while, and then to State Street. Unfortunately, however, after about a block and a half we were forced off the street by the cops and unable to get back on. What the hell? I'm still not sure what the deal was with that setup, and I'm annoyed. I bought a $7 ticket for that? But, fun times anyway. Frank was Dr. Horrible and Eric was Captain Hammer, so there was lots of singing and Joss-related geekery. I dressed up as the lone survivor of a zombie apocalypse, with some kind of halfassed but still fun makeup.

. . . and today I woke up still drunk. Which probably did not help my voice.

Anyway, my parents were in town yesterday. Mama wasn't feeling well, so she stayed at Ruthie's to rest while Ruthie, Papa and I went to the Farmer's Market and got breakfast. Then we all hung out and watched stupid movies on TV until I had to go to the theater. They came to see the show, which they loved, and then they had to leave early this morning, before I was up.

So! Since I have, at least for a little bit, some spare time in which to actually be a good host, people should come visit me. I miss you guys back home. ♥
