"While we strive to figure out a way we can survive these trying times without losing our minds"

I'm at work, and the pianist playing tonight seems to be doing about half Radiohead covers. I love my job.

My efforts at memorization are not going so well. My efforts at cutting my monologue down to time are going even less well. Maybe I'll just leave it as is and let them cut me off. I'd like to make it to the ending, but theoretically a strong opening should show them what they need to see, and it's hard to make cuts and still make sense with this one.

Sexual tension with people who can no longer be pounced is not fun. :(

Out of town guests are fun, though! I love meeting people's friends from back home. It explains so much about them. Also met girl!Alex's new girlfriend (properly, I mean. I'd met her once before, but it was after taking three shots of vodka and escaping a nice but boring boy who was hitting on me, and it was cold on the balcony, so I didn't hang around to talk. XD) They are super cute together, although Mindy is showing touches of biphobia she will need to get over if she's going to date someone who identifies as pansexual. Mindy and I were the only non-Jews in a group of six people last night. This is probably the first time that has ever happened in Wisconsin.

. . . so I wrote this at work, had to put away my laptop to close up, and now I'm home I can't remember what else I was going to say. Oh well. Time to hit "post," clearly.

-- OH GOD. My food was just delivered by some guy I once made out with at a party. My life is made of awkward.

cool people, monologue, theatre, silliness, work, auditioning, friends, placement
