There Will Be Rain
Over the past couple of nights I have finally gotten out to watching a couple of DVDs that I rented over the weekend. Both "Sweeney Todd" and "There Will Be Blood" had their merits but turned out to be poor viewing choices for me at the moment. They were both a more dark and nihilistic than the sort of movie that I would have favored. Anyone know of any good uplifting movies that I can watch? Maybe its time to throw in good old western or a Godzilla flick into the DVD player. I suppose that I am more in the mood for something light and fun.
I did buy the first season set of "Babylon 5" recently. I never really got into the show when it first aired on TV but saw the set available for bargain pricing and decided to give it another try. I must admit that I am definitely getting into it more now although for only being a fifteen year old series, I find the set design and production values to be a bit dated. There does seem to be some good ideas behind this sci-fi universe and its alien races that I look forward to losing myself in.
I had kind of a rough day today. Aside from system issues at work decreasing my productivity at work, the weather has turned sort of gloomy over the last few days again. I suppose that I just have to look forward to the better weather that will come my way in the near future.
