I was in Pinkabella Cupcakes in Redmond today to get some dessert for tonight. As I walked in, I was greeted with the scent of buttercream and fresh-baked goodness as well as some music playing softly in the background.
"It was not your fault but mine / and it was your heart on the line..."
Uh-oh. My first thought was, "I hope this is the radio," but after the next line, I realized it wasn't. Oops. I looked at the mother and kids who were in the corner dissecting a coconut cupcake and realized that they hadn't been listening. Phew.
After I ordered my cupcakes, I said, "By the way, who's providing your music?"
"Oh, that's my iPod!" the clerk said cheerfully.
"Nice, but you might want to remove this song from the mix."
"It's just Mumford and Sons," she said, a little confused.
"Yes, I know, I have the CD, but you're playing the one song on the album that drops the F-Bomb all over the place."
Her eyes grew wide and she said, "Oh, my gawd, I totally forgot there was swearing in this song!"
Nice.
