The continuing story of Joe

Apr 16, 2009 13:03

Life is full.

Yesterday, for example, I went to get a haircut. This, plus a quick trip to the grocery store for literally 5 things and a stop at the dry cleaners to pick up my shirts means that I didn't get home until 6. Cora was already asleep, so I did not get to see my daughter awake yesterday at all.

:-(

She has continued to get bigger and cuter every day. So today when I get home I hope to have some time to enjoy her.

Work at the Census Bureau continues. I am the vendor contractor there through IBM so there is enough bureaucracy and blame games to choke a herd of buffalo if they weren't careful. I am hoping for a change of some kind in the future, either a different contract (closer to home) or a different job (also closer to home).

Though I did find out that one of my previous clients asked for me by name as a contingency for purchasing more services, so thats a good thing.

Area 42 work is ramping up and it is starting to feel more like a second job and less like a hobby. That is a good thing in my mind because it means that I approach it with a more business like mentality which I will need in the long run to keep it successful. Of course it wouldn't be successful without all of you.

Thats all from my end of the world for now. Hopefully if things change in the future I'll have more time to see more of you than I currently do.
