[Play] Brunches And Shopping For Frocks Can Be Tough
Cancellations and some progress on the project encouraged me to have two nights off this week - out on Friday to an ANZA pub night, meeting a bunch of people not connected to werk! Shocking! Random conversations on the nature of expats and pilots at La Cave in Chijmes - including a couple of people who were at last weekend's brunch at the Grand Copthorne - and then on to Insomnia for the same band playing the same set as last week. Cue dancing and amusement and strangers
Last night was more sedate, with a barbeque at Linda's and a grand view over the river - complete with neon-lit remote controlled kites. Far too much meat, ex-copper and expat wives, iPod entertainment, plenty of beer, only semi-work conversations, people persuading Tas to move to Singapore, plus Christine diving fully clothed into the pool to rescue a sausage
