Salad Days
My salad shows the stupidity of MAGA. I am confident that the salad's components were picked by immigrant hands. Tomatoes, spring mix, mushrooms, cheese - things that need to be either made at home or imported. And using immigration policy and tariffs to double the price, the children of MAGA will starve.
I don't mean in hyperbole. I mean the most reverent screaming for policies that
hurt someone, the ones that get off on triggering the libs tend to be the people most affected by food prices. “Daddy, I'm hungry.” will cut through the nonsense. The children who rely on their parents don't feel the need to parrot loyalty to the leader. They feel hunger. Even the simplest can understand that the child is hungry. Those concerned about their child will ask why the food prices are so high.
When you hear “Daddy I'm hungry.”, I don't need you to have empathy for you to care about someone who looks like you, speaks your language, and prays to your God. I'm sort of counting that you care enough about your own child that half the work is done for me.
