I've had trouble getting to Livejournal this summer for posting updates. Here's catching up:
- I feel comfortable with the working world now. I'm OK with the hours (of work and of free time) and I'm learning to be smart investing with my money (now that I have some). The best thing about work over school is the difference in stress. In school, I'd keep myself up at night or not enjoy a night out b/c I knew I had projects I needed to get done. But here at work, life is good. I leave work at work, so I can do as I please during evenings and weekends.
- I've been doing some traveling this summer. In the next month, I'll be going to Atlanta to see the Aquarium, Coke Museum, and maybe a Braves game. And the week after that, I take my first work-related trip to Arnold AFB in TN. Time to rack up those frequent flyer miles.
- Evan just found out last week that he "got helos" and will be training to become a helicopter pilot here in Pensacola. All other aviation platforms would have taken him away from Pensacola, but he'll be here for another 4 months now. It'll be a while before Casey finds out what he'll be flying.
- I got my digital camera repaired by Canon for free after a found a very secretive and unannounced recall for my camera model with its problems. So, now I will be able to post more pictures on the web site and on Facebook.
- Ben got accepted to nursing school and will begin 5 classes in the Fall.
- Tom stopped hanging out with us on Mondays (soccer), Wednesdays (Bible study), and Sundays (Sunday School), so we don't consider him a friend anymore.
- Die Hard and Simpsons were great. Transformers was OK.
That's it for now. I'll be 24 on Aug 24th, which is becoming less of a deal each year that goes by. I'll check back in after that.
