Well, I am just about (ten pages short) finished reading The Eye of the World, and I love it. I am super excited to delve into the next book, as long as I don't quit again like I did a year ago. They are really good books, and if you like fantasy then I would recommend them.
On the weekend I went to Franklin Graham, on Saturdays anyways. It was really good, I was impressed. It's incredible how professional it was, and I am happy about all the people that came forward. It's so neat to see God's spirit move in such powerful and obvious ways. I pray that the spirit ignited during this festival would continue on and spread throughout the city.
Voted yesterday, and I voted for all the right people! All the ones I wanted to win won! So yay! Go democracy! On a side note, I was really disappointed with how many people voted. 38%!! That's ridiculous! Where's your sense of responsibility people?
Writing is going well, this week don't have much time because of (see below) all kinds of things. Buzz, my third book, is about 75-80% done, around 110,000 words. However, it will need to be trimmed as Les (my agent) says that publishers rarely take a book over 100,000 from a first time author. I'll have to do the trimming after. It has been a blast to write, however, and I will miss it a lot. I love the characters, they are all fun to write.
Am leading our C'n'C Bible Study tonight. If you want to come, it's at my house at 7! So be here, and if you don't know where my house is, email me! I'm also going to be leading the Bible Study at church next Tuesday, so please pray for that. It will be (hopefully) a lot of fun.
Tomorrow am going to be working with Art Wiebe at the youth event at River East church. They're doing their traditional pumpkin drop, and want a video filmed between 7-8, and then edited from 8-10, to have ready to show by 1015 I think. So that is going to be intense. I'll be helping out on the editing aspect. It should be a lot of fun, will really teach me to use iMovie fast!
Saturday is the MMYO v-ball tournament, which is when a bunch of Mennonite youth groups get together and pummel each other with v-balls. Then, on Sunday, is square dancing with the youth! So, like I said above, I'm very busy righ now, but loving it.
Submissions for Genero are still slowly coming in, but if you do have a chance to send something please do...to generomagazine@gmail.com. I really hope to see something from every single one of you!!
Went on an iTunes music buying rampage yesterday. Bought 4 'christian' songs and one other. The reason 'christian' is in '' is because they're not by Christian artists, but have a good message. Where is the Love? (Black Eyed Peas), Lord Give me a Sign (DMX), Beautiful (Christina Aguilera), Heaven (Live), and the not-at-all-Christian song Tribute (Tenacious D). They're all so awesome, and I've been wanting them for a while.
