End-Times Goals
According to those who study such things, the world is (currently) set to end on December 12th, 2012. Now, I doubt that this will actually come to pass, as the end of the world has been predicted incorrectly many times before, but it serves as a convenient deadline for goals nonetheless. Which is exactly what I intend to use it for. I have three goals in mind to accomplish before the apocalypse occurs:
1) Have a fully assembled and painted miniature wargame army. This will be defined more precisely as a 2000 point Warhammer 40K Space Marine army. Out of the three goals, this is the one most likely to be accomplished.
2) Create a mod of some significance for the computer game Fallout 3. I have not yet decided what exactly a mod of "some significance" will entail. I have several mod ideas in mind and will need to decide which idea to focus on. I was, for a time, considering redirecting this intended goal to creating something for a different game. But I decided to stick with this idea, as this game fits well with the whole "apocalyptic deadline" concept.
3) Goal number three. This goal will be a secret one, as I feel revealing it would make it almost impossible to complete. Out of the three goals, this is the one least likely to be accomplished as it is.
I'll be posting updates on these goals periodically, along with estimations on their current completion percentages. With any luck, I'll also be posting other content as well. Thus, "finally making real use of my LiveJournal" could be considered a fourth goal.

I was intending to add a Spell-Checker Humor segment to this entry, as I have often done in the past, but the "Spell check" button doesn't seem to work anymore. I even intentially misspelt a word (inocrrectly) and still got no response from it. Very disappointing.
