A sunny-grey day in Alberta's Capital

Nov 23, 2004 10:37

I did something which I recommend others do
in the midst of crazy November-December due dates.

If you have the means:

+ got to amazon.com
(yes, bad to buy online and to not support a local record shop,
but o-so-convenient)

+ find some cds and/or books you'd like to treat yourself to.

+ Order them.

= In a week or two they will show up at your doorstep like an early Christmas present To: you.

It's such a treat to open a box with

The Rocky Horror Picture Show dvd
The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack
2 Northern State cds
The New Le Tigre Album

& 3 books I have always wanted
(Imperial Eyes, Black Faces, White Masks, America)

I went a little crazy...but Amazon reduces the overall price every time you add something to the list. I got all this shit for $150!

Anyway...
indulgence is a great temporary detour from the academic ball and chain.

A By-the-Way Question fo Le Tigre fans:

What do people think of the new album? I really like it. Not as good as other stuff but it's just very different... very poppy, sorta retro, but kinda fun n' sexy. Not so political.

I am happy with it so long as this doesn't mean that their other punk/rock fizzles for this in future albums.

The song Sixteen is so hot! The moaning bit is reminiscient of Blonde Redhead yet the music reminds me of an accelerated Terence Trent D'arby.

I can't believe I just cited those two names in the same sentence. and prefaced that sentence by saying it's hot.

Talk Hard, yo'.
