Someone bought me a Pack of Smarties Last Night

And
I'm in a grrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaat mood.

I thought I'd overemphasize since my posts are so often so drab.

I have a shitload of work due this week and I'm just starting it at 1pm on Sunday. Drinking some yummy coffee in the dress I wore last nigt because I haven't bothered to think about what to wear today, yet. ClassY!

I went and saw a really mutherfucking scary movie last night at the West Edmonton Mall. Seriously, I have not been so scared over a movie or even "scared", period, in so long.

The Movie: The Grudge. And yes, it's with Sarah Michelle Gellar. But don't let that deter anyone. It's soooo fucking scary... there were a few scenes where I was literally twisting up in my chair, squealing and almost covering my eyes because I couldn't take it.

Like the Ring, it's a remake.. and I have heard the original is scarier. Set in Tokyo, involving murder, grudges, a scary little boy, freaky noises, creepy photography, scorned bloody women, and crazy people, freaky quick scare tactic imagery. Go see it!

Anyway, the craft / vegetarian chile a la Al and Sherry's sounds fab and I wish I could be there.

I will, instead, work on my thesis (due tomorrow--yippee!) involving the "productive crises" generated through the genealogical constructions of black masculinities in Uncle Tom's Cabin, Narrative of Life of Frederick Douglass and Beloved. Whoo hoo.

Then I will write a 7 page essay revealing my pseudo-scientific methodological approaches for analyzing independent media websites.

(By the way: Does anyone have suggestions on methodological strategies and websites like that one?)

This week I plan to track down a photolab (you'd think they'd be everywhere near campus but not so) and hopefully I will post some pics from Thanksgiving and from my new pad. If anyone be interested.

Love and Rox,

The McPussy
