CONFIRMED -- MISSISSIPPI IS AMERICA'S SHITHOLE
god, there is nothing to do there. i was in jackson and lemme tell you, for a state capital, that is the shittiest place i think ive been to. it was the first time i have EVER looked forward to coming back to alabama.
regardless of the stereotype, alabama is 1000x better than miss.
i mean, ive been to columbus, starkville, and vicksburg before, but i didnt expect anything from those places. at least i thought the state capital would be SOMEWHAT better.
all we did was go see a couple of museum exhibits -- not mine, but my parents choice and i figured why not. turns out it wa smore boring than sleep.
i cant imagine why anybody would want to go there. the only other time i hear of people going there are for either football games at ole miss, miss state, or southern miss, or to see some southern jewish experience place, farther south of jackson (why something jewish would be in mississippi is beyond me).
now im going to enjoy alabama (haha). ive got my geology final on friday so i might just study (we will see). just over a month and a half left until miami!

oh, and the gathering and fireworks last night was great. the cop was the best; after threatening to take the fireworks he says (while the remaining fireworks are being put in a bag for him and jsut when another goes off a couple blocks away):
'Do whatever you fucking want. Shoot the hell out of them.'
tuscaloosa police are laughable.
