what does a daffodil mean?
FIRST DAY OF CLASSES--DONE!!!
heh. yay. :) I am a happy person. Lab for one of my classes was cancelled today b/c we haven't had the class yet... :) There was some freak wind storm last night that caused a power outage at like 12:30. I was already asleep. yes, i know, craaaaaaaaaaaaazy! I couldn't fall asleep for a while after that, b/c it was super windy out, things were falling, and then when the power came back on, it was bizarrely loud. hmm...
anyway, the reason for the post... I checked my mail today, and got all the stuff that came over break. There was a letter from Nate (the ex-bf). So, things ended well, and we're still on good terms. However, I definitely wasn't expecting this letter, or its contents. First off, there's a petty orange daffodil or something like it on the front with "missing you" written all over it, in pretty orange writing (not his-American Greeting's). On the inside, the not-his-writing-part says: "I think about you often--I miss you even more." THen his note ends with "Love, Nathan". hm... There was also a 2 pg. letter written on notebook paper in there too, also ending w/ the L word. Like, he doesn't even write his family 2 page letters. they get 1 page.
Also, Becca and I are going to Boston and NYC for spring break. He goes to Columbia-which is in NY... I think im going to try and see him for a day. I was thinking about asking if we could crash at his dorm, but even though we'd save a few hundered $$$, I'm about 85%-15% leaning towards not even bringing that up. I think it would just be too awkward, and bring up emotions that I don't want to try and have to deal with. And that's not even thinking how he feels about it. ARGGGG.
OK. time to get back to importanter things. :) Like internship applications. WHEEEEEEEEEEEE. here i go!
