it's been ten years strong, thats much too long
I loved seeing people that I rarely see this weekend. Everyone was just at ease with each other. no awkward silences, no forced smalltalk, just a really good time. by some luck i ended up knowing these people in my life and every time we get together, we never need to try too hard. it's just who we are. good people find allies. happy birthday to garima and peggy. I'm glad I could be there, still close, after so many years. oh and peggy and I saw dredg and the lovemakers on saturday. Albeit, being still a bit hungover, dredg floored me. It's hard to really describe the intensity of the sound. It was like standing in front of a 40ft tall tsunami. They are something else when heard live. The mixture of sounds was so loud yet completely perfect. I love his voice: music meets its voice type of amazing. But because their music is so good, I think I need to keep their songs in moderation. The lovemakers make fun, getupanddance music. Sexy music. Chug a beer kind of music. couldn't have spend 5 bucks more worthily. We played all these runaround kids games at the park.. freeze tag, capture the flag, etc. It's awesome having a bunch of twentysomethings sitting around playing duck duck goose. and I miss skateboarding. I sold my dad's old car for 300. larry told me to change the oil, use radiator leak-stopping powder, run engine cleanser, and that should fix some of the problems. I just want it to at least make it to oakland. my current book wishlist: the last three books from the chronicles of narnia, catch 22, freakonomics.
